Remarks:The Network was formed in partnership with a number of Caribbean institutions conducting scientific research and generating information. This project comes as a direct outcome of the Caribbean Academy of Sciences, Jamaica hosting several workshops in collaboration with Inter Academy Panel, IAP, the US National Science Foundation and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, TWAS as part of their project on "Open Access to Scientific Literature and other Digital Scientific Information Resources in Central America and the Caribbean". The project was carried out with the support of the UNESCO Kingston Office for the Caribbean and is a contribution to the UNESCO commitment to improve and promote Open Access to research information and add value to its Global Open Access Portal, GOAP
